Both DBIA and COAA are strong in our stance to support continued improvements in the performance and capabilities of project delivery based on owner input and needs. Training and education are central to the mission of both organizations, making a joint DBIA/COAA conference -- with an “owner centric” -- focus a natural partnership.

Neither DBIA nor COAA spends our time selling design-build to owners. Instead, we educate owners that there are a number of relevant questions to answer in choosing a delivery system.  An owner must make an objective assessment of factors surrounding each project, and owners need to understand the benefits and drawbacks of each delivery method.  DBIA and COAA are about providing the information needed to help owners make informed decisions.

Our intent is not to convince owners that design-build is a magic bullet that will solve all project delivery challenges.  There is no magic bullet.  What DBIA and COAA set out to do is help owners determine what is in the best interest of the organizations they represent, the design and construction industry, and the nation and economy as a whole.

Like all DBIA-sponsored events, the DBIA/COAA Healthcare Project Delivery Conference program has been developed in an unbiased fashion that allows for balance in decision making by owners, but provides valuable information for all players in the design and construction industry.

We have structured a program to educate you, to excite you and above all to harness your enthusiasm for providing high quality, cost-effective and timely design and construction services to the healthcare industry, our nation and the world -- a very competitive world marked by changing technology and changing expectations.

You cannot afford to stay still.  You must keep up to date with changes and advancements while still retaining a commitment to old fashioned quality. That is why this conference is so important and is a must-attend event for all owners and practitioners involved in the planning, design, construction, renovation, or expansion of our nation’s healthcare facilities

We look forward to seeing you in Houston.
